ABOUT US
The Century has been over 100 years in the making — seriously.
Originally owned by Sarah Merion in the 1890s, the building’s foundation was poured in 1923, and it's been collecting stories ever since. While there’s a bit of mystery around its early years, here’s what we do know about its past lives:
Back in the 1920s, it was a bowling alley. There’s still an old-school walk-in freezer in the basement from the 1930s, kind of spooky, kind of cool. The gorgeous iron windows that flood the space with natural light? They were added in the 1940s and lovingly refinished in the early 2000s.
Over the decades, it’s been everything from one of Columbus’s original Kroger locations to an Oldsmobile dealership in the 1950s. It’s housed a beloved Blue Bird Bakery and, most recently, served as a woodworking shop for TY Furnishings and Bake Me Happy.
Fast forward to 2023 — The Century was thoughtfully remodeled into the stunning venue it is today. With over 100 years of character layered into its walls and windows, it’s now a place where modern celebrations meet timeless charm. Whether it’s your wedding, a milestone event, or an unforgettable gathering, this space was built — literally and figuratively — for memories.
