Wedding venue tours: what to expect
Choosing a wedding venue is arguably one of the most important decisions you’ll make during the planning process. It sets the stage for the day — serving as the backdrop to all your photos and playing a role in the overall energy. But what should you expect during a wedding venue tour?
Personalized consultation
When you arrive at The Century for your tour, you’ll be greeted by our Venue Director who will guide you through the space. This initial meeting allows her to learn more about your style, discuss special requests and answer questions. But it’s so much more than that. Our Venue Director is just as excited about your day as you are — and her passion for the client experience shines through in everything she does. So don’t shy away from sharing fun details with her: your love story, decor vision, layout dreams and more.
A detailed walkthrough
One of the most exciting parts of a venue tour is seeing each space in person. Our wedding venue in Columbus has multiple areas designed for different parts of your wedding day, and the tour will help you get a sense of how these spaces can be used.
Ceremony: Take note of the overhead skylights, size, and how easily your guests can flow into the next part of the day.
Reception: We have plenty of room for both dining and dancing, without guests feeling cramped.
Outdoor spaces: During the warmer months, there’s an option to host an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour in front or behind the venue.
Being able to accommodate both intimate gatherings and large celebrations is a feature our clients appreciate as soon as they walk inside for a tour. Having separate rooms allows for a more personalized experience and helps you avoid a chaotic room flip. Whether you’re drawn to the beauty of exposed brick, the charm of towering ceilings, or the excitement of a downtown setting, our non-traditional venue is ready for your unique vision.

Q&A
Don’t hesitate to ask as many questions as you need to make an informed decision. Some questions to consider include:
Are there any restrictions on vendors, or can you bring in your own?
Is the venue accessible for guests with mobility challenges?
How long do we have access to the venue on the wedding day?
Does our rental include a venue manager?
Are there Airbnbs nearby to get ready in the morning?
Are there ample parking options for guests?
Do you have sample layouts I can review that align with my expected guest count?
Do you offer in-house linens, tables and chairs?
What do your bar offerings look like?
